''I was told not to bother because theres too many tourists..."
Sometimes you just have to see it for yourself. When I packed up my trailer and headed south for the border I knew my goal was to ride in the most beautiful park in Montana. For years I have been seeing photos of these enormous mountains, red rocks, wildlife and more. The best part was it was only 3 hours from my house, but why did it take me so long to explore this landscape. Let me tell you ...
It wasn't as easy as just load up the trailer and go, there was some planning of course but I was also taking a animal across the border which needed paperwork. That wasn't even the big struggle it was researching what trails we can ride, where to park once we got into the park and where can we camp with horses. As more equine campgrounds are disappearing its becoming more difficult to travel with them. Fortunately for social media I found some gals who have ridden in the park this past year and I reached out to them for more information.
I met up with a gal from Instagram, its a strange world but yet not so crazy anymore to meet random strangers on the internet. We ended up meeting in St. Marys and stayed in town at a campground that had a few horse corrals.
